Daten und Fakten zur MOKUBO
Was man vor dem Erwerb gerne wissen möchte
What is included in the MOKUBO?
If you choose a MOKUBO, you will receive the complete set consisting of a stainless steel box, custom-made wooden inserts, and
- Primus Tupike gas stove (modified) incl. grill plate and 450g gas cartridge
- Sea-to-Summit pot set (4l pot, 2.8l pot and 1l kettle, frying pan)
- Flamefield dinnerware set (4 plates, bowls, cups each)
- 4 Gimex glasses
- 2-piece Zwilling chef's knife set
- WMF cutlery (4 knives, forks, tablespoons and teaspoons each)
- 4 breakfast boards
- Grill tongs
- Tatonka cooking spoon set
- 6 Ostmann spices
- Lighter
- Sleeve
Can the MOKUBO be purchased without content?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. The MOKUBO is only available with accessories, because the box and its individual parts are precisely matched. Only then can we accommodate so much in such a small space.
There is no other stove that fits into the box because it is particularly flat. The pots also cannot be replaced, as they can only be accommodated by "folding" them together.
The wooden inserts are precisely milled for the WMF cutlery, as is the insert for the cutting boards. The cutouts for the dishes and glasses are also adapted, so no alternative can be meaningfully accommodated.
I already have the Primus Tupike / Kinjia stove. Can I use it?
Of course. If you already have the Tupike (or the Primus Kinjia), then we can omit it.
However, the handle and feet, as well as the regulator holder, still need to be removed from the stove so that it fits into the box and can be bolted down.
We will deduct 200 Euros for this.
I already have the SeatoSummit pot set. Can you deduct that from the price?
Certainly. We will deduct 125 Euros for this.
I already have another stove/cooker, can I use that too?
Probably not. The MOKUBO was specifically designed for the Primus Tupike stove.
The Tupike stove is one of the most compact stoves on the market. If your stove has different dimensions, it probably won't fit into the MOKUBO or the MOKUBO's lid won't close.
How is the MOKUBO cleaned?
It has proven effective to completely empty the MOKUBO after extended use to remove crumbs, etc.
Then, it is best to clean it with a damp cloth and/or a stainless steel cleaner. Please do not use hard sponges or abrasive cleaners, as this can damage the stainless steel surface.
The wood can also be most easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
Can the contents of the box go in the dishwasher?
The dishes, cutting boards and cutlery can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher.
All other contents should be hand-washed.
Please do not clean the pots in the dishwasher under any circumstances, as the aluminum cannot withstand this.
What if something breaks or gets lost?
Of course, you can reorder all individual parts from the box from us.
Whether it's a knife, a cup, or a board, simply contact us at
mail@mokubo.de or call: +49 211 8694960.
Can I permanently mount the MOKUBO?
Yes, there are several ways to mount the box in the vehicle. The MOKUBO has 4 feet on the underside, which are screwed into an M6 thread. This thread can be used to fix the MOKUBO, for example, with an M6 screw or threaded rod.
Alternatively, there is a slide-in system similar to the base (we will gladly provide you with the appropriate drawing for this). This allows the box to be easily removed at any time.
Can the gas stove be connected to the external connection of a camper?
External connections in Germany only have 30 millibar, but the stove requires 50 millibar (like all camping stoves). Therefore, this is unfortunately not possible with vehicles approved in Germany.
If I install a kitchen, would I potentially get a campervan registration?
As the stove does not have a gas shut-off, that unfortunately won't work.
Do I need a gas inspection for my vehicle if I have the MOKUBO with me?
No, because the box is not permanently installed, you do not need a gas inspection.
How long does the 450g gas cartridge last?
This depends heavily on the intensity of use. On average, a cartridge lasts about 5-6 days with "normal use."
If you cook or grill frequently at high power, the usage time may be shorter.
We recommend carrying one or two spare cartridges for longer trips.
What's new in MOKUBO VERSION 3?
- The sleeve, valued at 99 Euros, is now part of the MOKUBO complete package and no longer available as a separate accessory.
- The hinges are now mounted and screwed on the inside of the lid. This gives the MOKUBO an even more premium look and makes it easier to repair should the lid and/or a hinge be damaged.
- The drawer slides are made of stainless steel and now run even more quietly and smoothly.
- An additional locking mechanism allows the drawer to be locked in the fully extended position. This prevents the drawer from easily closing on its own, for example, if the MOKUBO is slightly tilted when camping.
- The handles are now made of stainless steel with a matte finish. Together with the black recessed grips, they give the MOKUBO an even more premium look.
- The feet on which the MOKUBO stands are now made of high-quality black plastic. This protects the surface on which the MOKUBO stands, for example, camping tables.
- The windbreak is now integrated into the lid. This means you no longer need a separate part to prevent the lid from slamming shut in the wind.
