Frequently asked questions about MOKUBO
You can view the MOKUBO in our manufactory in Düsseldorf. The address is MOKUBO Manuaktur in Areal Böhler, Hansaallee 321, Building 23, Gate 67, 40549 Düsseldorf. Please make an appointment in advance by calling +49 211 8694960.
The box has the same dimensions as a Euronorm box:
60 x 40 x 27 cm
Open (i.e. with the lid lifted and the drawer open):
112 x 50 x 64 cm
The MOKUBO weighs 31 kg including all contents.
If you opt for a MOKUBO, you will receive the complete set of stainless steel box, custom-made wooden inlays, and
- Primus Tupike gas stove (modified) incl. grill plate and 450g gas cartridge
- Sea-to-Summit pot set (4l pot, 2.8l pot and 1l kettle, frying pan)
- Flamefield tableware set (4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 mugs)
- 4 Gimex glasses
- 2-piece Zwilling chef's knife set
- WMF cutlery (4 knives, forks, dinner spoons and coffee spoons each)
- 4 breakfast boards
- Barbecue tongs
- Tatonka wooden spoon set
- 6 Ostmann spices
- Lighter
- Sleeve
Unfortunately, this is not possible. The MOKUBO is only available with accessories, because the box and its individual parts are precisely matched to each other. This is the only reason why we can fit so much into such a small space.
There is no other stove that fits into the box because it is particularly flat. The pots cannot be replaced either, as they can only be accommodated at all by "folding them up". The wooden inserts are milled precisely for the WMF cutlery, as is the insert for the chopping boards. The cut-outs are also adapted for the crockery and glasses, so no alternative can be accommodated.
Of course. If you already have the Tupike (or the Primus Kinjia), then we can leave it out. However, the handle and feet as well as the holder for the pressure reducer still have to be removed from the stove so that it fits into the box and can be screwed on. We deduct 200 euros for this.
Of course. We deduct 125 euros for this.
Probably not. The MOKUBO has been specially developed for the Primus Tupike stove. The Tupike stove is one of the most compact stoves on the market. If your stove has different dimensions, it will probably not fit into the MOKUBO or the lid of the MOKUBO will no longer close.
It has proven to be a good idea to empty the MOKUB completely after prolonged use to remove crumbs etc.. Then clean with a damp cloth and / or a stainless steel cleaner. Please do not use hard sponges or scouring milk, as this can damage the surface of the stainless steel. The easiest way to clean the wood is also with a damp cloth.
The crockery, boards and cutlery can easily be cleaned in the dishwasher.
All other contents are happy to be cleaned by hand.
Please do not put the pots in the dishwasher, as the aluminum will not tolerate this.
Of course, you can reorder all the individual items from the box from us. Whether it's a knife, a cup or a board, simply contact us at mail@mokubo.de or call: +49 211 8694960.
Yes, there are various ways to mount the box in the vehicle. The MOKUBO has 4 feet on the underside, which are screwed into an M6 thread. This thread can be used to fix the MOKUBO with an M6 screw or threaded rod, for example.
Alternatively, there is a slide-in system as with the stand (we will be happy to provide you with the appropriate drawing). This means that the box can be easily removed at any time.
External connections only have 30 millibar in Germany, but the stove requires 50 millibar (like all camping stoves). Unfortunately, this is therefore not possible for vehicles registered in Germany.
As the stove does not have a gas cut-off, this unfortunately does not work.
No, as the box is not permanently installed, you do not need a gas test.

This depends very much on the intensity of use. On average, a cartridge lasts approx. 5-6 days with "normal use". If you cook or barbecue a lot at high power, the service life may also be shorter. We recommend carrying one or two spare cartridges for longer trips.
